Books should not be a luxury.

This special book voucher will be added to our pay-it-forward wall, a collection of book vouchers that can be used by anyone (online or in the shop) who doesn’t have the resources to buy a book.

As precarious people and families are hit particularly hard by COVID-19, these vouchers will allow us to send on books to those who need them but are self-isolating, or have lost access to their local library. Since March we have been able to get hundreds of pounds worth of books to readers, including through collaborations with local family organisations getting books to kids across Edinburgh.

The Pay-It-Forward pot has a healthy amount in it thanks to the generosity & solidarity of readers, so if you think you know someone who could a book or 3 and doesn’t have the cash for a purchase, please remind them to ask to settle using a Pay-It-Forward (PIF) Voucher - we don’t ask any questions, we then just send the books :)
